Focus Groups

While executing Managed Relocation services for our many clients, Eddleston Gill met with a few groups of people who are most intimately involved in the relocation process.   Through a series of interviews and focus groups we came up with the following reasons for why companies should use a Managed Relocation solution.  These were answers that came up over and over again during our discussion and are the basis for why most of our clients work with Eddleston Gill Relocation.

Focus Group I

Hiring Managers

  • Without a cohesive relocation offering they miss hiring opportunities
  • Relocation shows that the company cares
  • Relocation is considered a major offering when a recruit considers a new job
  • A “lump sum” offering is considered “JV”

Focus Group II

Recruiters

  • For every two recruits one will decline an offer because of a “lump sum” offering
  • This leaves many companies to compete for only 50% of the qualified candidate pool

Candidates

  • Those who received a managed relocation package felt privileged
  • They felt that the hiring company thought of them as important
  • They put a lot of value in the offering
